An environmental disaster is waiting to happen as conversation efforts are alienating farmers – the main stakeholders of Mangar
Much has been written about the conversation of the Mangar region. While perusing some reports, I realized that since the 1970s there has been a focus on conserving the environmental in this region. This drive has led to much legislation and restriction in the area, but as I analysed the material, I was confounded by the fact that the perspective of the local farmer, the very person who owned the land, whose livelihood and subsistence depended on it, was conspicuously absent from the debate.
